Pix's Origin Adventures has posted a preview of Crusader: No Remorse from the August 1995 issue of PC Zone magazine. One thing that stands out to me is the actual language used and the angle from which the author writes. Writing about video games has changed a lot since then.

Check it out here.

It's funny that it says "RELEASE DATE: April '96." and No Remorse was released in August '95.

I agree with Keenan here - writing about video games was really different back in a day. Can't say "better" or "worse", just different. First time I noticed this was when I was reading some back issues of one of the oldest and today still the most popular magazine about computers in Serbia ("Svet Kompjutera", [eng:"Computer World"] first issue - October, 1984.). The game reviews were written "more seriously" but gaming in general, on the other hand, was treated like it's something only the kids and younger individuals are into. Writing style of hardware reviews are pretty much the same. IMO, video games industry matured and became more like the movie industry - mainstream entertainment, hence the change in reviewing and writing style...

Speaking of which:

:D

Nice find there you got there, and Bioforge is also there hehe.

I was wondering about the release date too. I thought what? I'm pretty sure No Regret was released 1996 and not No Remorse  :D

I guess back then games sometimes came out earlier than they were planned instead of later  :p

The insane writing has mostly been taken over by the various producers of web video series. (See: The Spoony Experiment, The Angry Joe Show, Screw Attack...)
