Custom Sound Effects for the game, how to?

This information was taken from Mark Vittek's Crusader Page.

Want more WEC wave files?
If you have No Regret, you have the tools! In the GOODS directory on the CD you'll find a program called CRUSND.EXE. Copy this to your /REGRET/SOUND directory. Then type CRUSND to run it.

1. First off you'll need to -FILE SOUND.FLX to point it to the sound file.
2. Next, try -LIST to list out all the sound effect files in the game.
3. Using -PLAY [sound effect] you can play one at a time.
4. Using -EXTRACT [sound effect] [new-name.wav] you can change them to wave files.

Make your own sound effect file for the game!
More fun than shooting Rebels in a crossfire!

Using the -INSERT command you can add your own Wave files into the game. Just listen to the current files, then figure out which ones you want to replace, then -INSERT them. Afterwards, copy the FLEXMAN.EXE from the /GOODS directory into your /SOUND directory and optimize the file by typing FLEXMAN SOUND.FLX -O

*Warning* All inserted files must be mono, 11025 sample rate. Replacing 'looping' or ambient sfx WILL cause crashes. Backup your old Sound.FLX before changing it!
