    Crusader games in ScummVM?

Hi! Thanks for trying it out. Yes, I haven't implemented mouse movement - I found the way it worked in the original really awkward so never used it myself. If there are fans of it out there I guess I should get around to adding it some time!

    Crusader games in ScummVM?

Thanks! I still have to work out why the picture of the devs appears in the wrong spot, but at least I finally got around to fixing the elevator problem before the next scummvm release! Sorry this took so long, it was a bit tricky to track down and I haven't had a lot of free time recently...

My try for a "sane" 720p intro upscale

Ooh nice. I'm not sure about the quality of the PSX source videos, but with a few hacks it's easy to produce a version of the PC movies with the interlacing removed if it would help. It might be a better source than the PSX videos after that, maybe? It feels like they have slightly more detail...

Trying to make a master list of easter eggs and secrets

Some shape easter eggs: * The Daemon from U8 easter egg, and a picture of Tony Zurovec are the frames of Shape 1052 of No Regret In No Remorse: * The picture of the devs are frames 4-6 of Shape 359 * The picture of Jely with guitar (and added mascara) are frames 3~12 of Shape 383. This is also...

    Crusader games in ScummVM?

Thanks for the report! Could you open a bug at https://bugs.scummvm.org/ and attach the savegame? I'll take a look at it when I have a chance. It's possible that something about the larger screen size is breaking the triggers - to be honest I haven't played through much of it with the larger size.

Done! Just pushed a fix for that.

    Crusader games in ScummVM?

I've now added all the numpad commands (roll, step, toggle crouch, etc), they'll be in the next nightly build. I haven't yet added the ability to toggle relative/absolute directions with numlock. Currently it's all set as relative (ie, turn left/right, forward/backward rather than compass...

    Crusader games in ScummVM?

Haven't had a lot of time to look at Crusader over the last few months, but I just pushed a few changes that should fix some subtle enemy AI behaviour differences from the original. If you start in No Remorse difficulty the first guard now behaves *nearly* identically to the original. I...

    Crusader games in ScummVM?

I think I finally discovered the source(s) of the aiming problems, and have just pushed a fix for 2 discrepancies I found. The next daily should target a bit better. Certainly feels better to me now.

    Crusader games in ScummVM?

Lots of great input (thanks all!), but a forum is not the best bugtracker and my replies have been quite piecemeal, so to give an overall summary of status here is my full TODO list for No Remorse in rough priority order: Aiming seems off, keep missing guys we should hit Walk backwards while...

    Crusader games in ScummVM?

Thanks again for the reports - I'd been looking at this for long enough that I'd overlooked some items that are obvious in hindsight. I've fixed the "tap to turn", now pop up a message for installation issues (if the intro movie can't be loaded), and the BA-40 consumes ammo in the latest...

    Crusader games in ScummVM?

Oh! That's just an oversight on my part. The number of enemies and damage levels should be scaled correctly (please tell me if that bit is broken), but I totally forgot to implement limited ammo for Loose Cannon and No Remorse difficulty. That's not too hard to add, I've filed a bug...

    Crusader games in ScummVM?

A few questions to answer since I've been awol a couple of weeks.. Installation Process Unfortunately this is a side effect of history and gog's choices. The original game (and subsequent updates) normally only partly installed onto HDD, leaving the movies and music on the CD, and the gog...

    Crusader games in ScummVM?

Thanks for giving it a go! For both (1) and (3), you'll need the `FLICS` and `SOUND` directories from the CD, or if you have the gog version, the CD image that's inside. See the wiki for more: https://wiki.scummvm.org/index.php?title=Crusader:_No_Remorse For (2), I still need to add the...

Thanks for letting me know about those things @rotterdxm - I've added them to my list of things to investigate.

    Crusader games in ScummVM?

I'm now excited to say that No Remorse is ready!! Enemy AI is not *exactly* faithful, but here are my updates since the last update: * fixed the Demo and Spanish versions so they work too * added a "high resolution" option that renders in 1024x768! * updated the data files so weapons work...

    Crusader games in ScummVM?

I've now uploaded recordings of the last 2 missions and the ending credits. Fixed a couple more small bugs. Here's the video of the last mission (spoilers!): AI is partly fixed now, but still a bit broken. I'll keep banging on it to see how close I can get it to the original.

    Crusader games in ScummVM?

Another productive couple of weeks. I have now completed one full play-through of Remorse, albeit with a lot of cheating. I still need to go back to Mission 14 and record the last two missions for youtube, but I'm now confident that it works from beginning to end. Here's what's new: Added...

    Crusader games in ScummVM?

Finished Mission 7 playthrough (will upload my kind of broken video cap of it soon) and found+fixed 3 new excellent bugs: I had the wrong "z" threshold on teleport eggs, so walking over certain places which had a teleport trigger downstairs would incorrectly teleport sometimes. Fixed. Fixed...

    Crusader games in ScummVM?

Made some nice progress in the last few weeks. Just finished Mission 6 in my playthrough, and there were no new game-breaking bugs (or even very large bugs) in this mission. Here's what's new: Fixed spider bombs Fixed Movie decoding glitches Dying NPCs finally die properly! Fixed AI a bit...
